On May 19,2017, students of Salesian College, Siliguri Campus,Department of Management and Computer Application,organised a farewell for the third year students. Father Aju Kurian and Father Mathew Panapurayil were The programme started at 1:30pm by lighting of the lamp,followed by a prayer. This was followed by Father Rector’s speech. Father Rector, thanked on behalf of the Governing Body, the Principal and management, the fathers who served the college for four and two years respectively wishing them God’s Blessings on their new assignments, and wished the outgoing batch of students success in their career. Nest we had the release of Evolve, BBA magazine, and DigiTech, BCA magazine, respectively by Father Aju Kurian and Father Mathew Panapurayil. Both Father Aju Kurian and Father Mathew Panapurayil were present with bouquet, as a mark of respect for their farewell, as well. This was followed by a video presented by BBA and BCA students jointly, showing the journey of the third years in the college. Next there were the farewell speeches by Mr Dhirodatta Subba, HOD, Department of Computer Application, and Mr. Shomik Saha, HOD, Department of BBA, respectively. This was followed by certificate distribution to the students for the academic performance and attendance. A song was sung by BBA student, Bijay Bahadur Gurung, and simultaneously lunch was served. Various games were played by the students followed by a dance performance by John Louis of the BBA department. There was a special performance by the third year students of BBA department comprising of a dance,a short skit and a song. A beautiful dance was performed by a student of BCA department, Phuden Bhutia. Towards the end, mementos and title badges were given to the third year students. A few final year students shared their experiences that they had in the past three years, in the college. In the end a group photo was taken. The event ended at 5:30pm.
